Vehicle replacement of Shock Absorber (1500) begins by raising the vehicle to support level followed by supporting the rear axle. The electronic suspension control needs disconnecting when present on the system. Owners using air leveling technology should start their ignition while the engine remains off before scanning the system for sixty seconds to exhaust all air pressure. To access the Shock Absorber start by disconnecting the air line when required and unfastening the upper Shock Absorber nut together with its bolt. Continue by loosening the lower Shock Absorber nut with its corresponding bolt and finally detach the Shock Absorber itself. The installation process begins with placing the Shock Absorber followed by tight installation of upper Shock Absorber hardware after obtaining proper fastening guidelines. Position the lower Shock Absorber nut and bolt and torque both upper and lower nuts and to 115 nm (85 lb ft).
