Begin by taking out both the driver seat and body hinge pillar trim panel followed by pulling carpeting and insulation out from the driver location. Steer clear from steel cable twists when you detach the Steering Column retainer then separate the cable end from its ball stud positioning before deforming the tangs to remove the cable from its housing. The support should first lose its connection to the cable while simultaneously removing the grommet from the floor panel. After lifiting the vehicle with support tools proceed to take off the cable clamps attached to the floor panel reinforcement. Secure the transmission manual shaft in mechanical park position before removing the range selector lever cable heat shield bolts as well as its heat shield. The range select lever receives a cable removal while technicians detach it from the lever and detach the cable retainer and the cable from the bracket.
