• Q: How to replace the valve rocker arm on the right side on 2008 Cadillac XLR?

  A: The right side valve Rocker Arm installation starts with right camshafts removal while retaining the original match between each Camshaft follower and its stationary hydraulic Lash Adjuster (SHLA) position. Secondly clean and inspect the rocker arms by removing the Camshaft followers from the right cylinder head. During installation apply large amounts of proper lubricant to both the follower's roller pivot pocket and valve slot areas by using specified lubricant part numbers. Place each follower directly onto the valve tip so its entire roller surface touches the Camshaft lobe and put used followers back to their previous positions. Install the Camshaft followers by placing them on the valve tip and shla yet placing the round side against the shla then the flat side on the valve tip. Finally, install the right camshafts.
