How to replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2008 Cadillac SRX?

Beginning the Crankshaft Position Sensor replacement starts by turning off the ignition before raising the vehicle for support. First remove the wiring harness heat shield for better access while you disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) electrical connector . Disassemble the crankshaft sensor bolt and extract the crankshaft sensor. Slide the new crankshaft position sensor into its appropriate place and bolt down the crankshaft position sensor while applying 10 N.m (89 lb in) torque. After lifting the automobile position the wiring harness heat shield on the oil level indicator tube while connecting the CKP electrical connector before returning the vehicle to ground level.
