The old rubber belt needs to be cut from both the air conditioning unit and crankshaft pulleys. Position the new belt behind the rear side of the balancer and beyond the a/c pulley. Hook the belt installation tool to the balancer and then raise it to attach the belt onto the tool. After sliding the tool downward you will position the belt onto the air conditioning pulley while applying gentle tension on it. Let the front section of the belt expose its parts with ribs because of the facing direction it needs to follow. Use clock-wise Crankshaft Pulley rotation together with finger pressure at the belt to pull it forward until the ribbed side rests directly in front of the a/c pulley. To verify Drive Belt installation inspect it while rotating the balancer 360 degrees more. Finally place back the skid plate and accessory Drive Belt and install them correctly.
