How to service and repair the Parking Assist Distance Sensor on 2008 Cadillac CTS?

To replace the rear object sensor, remove the rear bumper fascia and disconnect the electrical connector. Pull up the locking tabs to remove the sensor. When installing the new sensor try not to re-finish it. Paint using a basecoat/clearcoat paint system with proper thickness. Reinsert the sensor, connect the electrical connector and reinstall the fascia.
