2008 Buick LaCrosse Mass Air Flow Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor/intake air temperature sensor on 2008 Buick LaCrosse?
A: The replacement process for the Mass Air Flow Sensor/intake Air Temperature Sensor begins with turning off the ignition and disconnecting the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF) electrical connector. The procedure begins with removing the air cleaner intake duct so technicians can proceed with removing the maf sensor fasteners that allow them to extract the maf sensor including its maf sensor seal. The new maf sensor seal and maf sensor should be placed first before installation begins. You need to secure the maf sensor screws with a torque of 4 n.m (35 lb in). The installer should execute the final actions by placing the air cleaner intake duct back and reconnecting the maf electrical connector.
