How to Replace the Rear Transmission Oil Cooler Hose on 2007 Cadillac STS?

The first step to replace the rear transmission fluid cooler pipe requires using the transmission cooler quick connect (J 44827) as an instrument to disconnect the front transmission oil cooler (TOC) line from the rear toc line. Begin by taking out the lh front wheel then proceed to detach both lh front splash shield retainers and the lh front splash shield. Disengage the rear transmission oil cooler toc lines from the Radiator through the use of transmission cooler quick connect (J 44827). Detach the rear toc line to transmission retainer bolt followed by disconnecting the rear toc lines from the transmission. Take away the o-rings before extracting the toc retainer bracket bolt to remove the toc lines. First install the toc lines but finish by installing the toc retainer bracket bolt at 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Install new o-rings to the rear transmission oil cooler lines before attaching them to the transmission component. Finally install and tighten the rear toc line to transmission retainer bolt to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). To complete installation replace the Radiator-connected toc line by connecting it to the front toc line and then continue with reinstallation of lh front splash shield followed by its retainers before installing the lh front wheel.
