The installation begins with removing the shift control assembly's 2 bolts from the component's connection to the shift control adaptor plate. Afterward install the plate's 4 nuts to fasten it to the tunnel reinforcement. Drain out the shift control boot assembly and adaptor plate from the vehicle. Secure the shift control adaptor plate to the tunnel reinforcement by installing the 4 nuts and torque them to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
