Use the j 38185 hose clamp pliers (J 38185) for servicing and repairing the Coolant Reservoir when replacing surge tank hose/pipe at the inlet (LP1, LY7). Place the j 38185 against the clamp and use the tool to remove the surge tank inlet hose from its installation point in the surge tank. Start by disconnecting the inlet hose from its position on the air cleaner housing and then extracting the inlet hose tee from the power steering fluid reservoir. Detail removal of the surge tank inlet hose from the Radiator and Throttle Body assembly through j 38185 hose clamp pliers before proceeding with vehicle inlet hose extraction. To install the system use j 38185 tool to connect the surge tank inlet hose between Throttle Body assembly and Radiator before placing inlet hose tee on the power steering fluid reservoir and securing inlet hose to clips on air cleaner housing. Thread the surge tank inlet hose underneath the hood assist rod support and attach it to the surge tank by using the j 38185.
