2007 Buick Terraza Oxygen Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 on 2007 Buick Terraza?
A: The replacement of the heated Oxygen Sensor 2 requires vehicle support at appropriate height. Primary operations start with removal of the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer along with unfastening the engine harness electrical connector from the ho2s connector. Use caution when you take the ho2s out of the Catalytic Converter because any damage to harness wires or pigtail will produce performance failures. When placing a new or service-replaced sensor always coat the threads with anti-seize compound p/n 12377953 or equivalent unless reinstalling the original component. To install the ho2s on the Catalytic Converter tighten the bolt to 42 n.m (31 lb ft). Return the vehicle harness electrical connector into the ho2s connector followed by cpa retainer mounting then lower the vehicle. For this procedure always refrain from using cleaning solvents while confirming the vehicle harness connector peripheral seal remains whole to stop water penetration and never attempt to fix damaged wiring connectors or terminals because these interventions could impair air reference and degrade sensor performance.
