How to replace the door check link on 2006 GMC Envoy?

In order to change the fan clutch, un-hook the negative battery cable and unattach the fan/clutch assembly. Unscrew the mounting bolts of the fan and the clutch. Check the damage and repair where required. Refit the fan to the clutch and fix it and then reconnect the assembly.
