How to replace the endgate emblem/nameplate on 2006 Chevrolet SSR?

Cover and align the target area with tape before you can replace the endgate emblem/nameplate. Heat the emblem/nameplate through the top with a 152 mm heat gun for 30 seconds in circular movements. Using a plastic flat-blade you can take off the endgate emblem/nameplate. Place the new badge onto the endgate holes before pressing firmly then clean the surface with VMP naptha. Apply marking tape to help with placement when the emblem/nameplate area stays unidentified. Place the heat gun (152 mm) at the endgate surface until it reaches minimum 21°C (70°F) and place tape on the outside surface of the emblem/nameplate to guide placement. Step the emblem/nameplate away from its adhesive backing and put it onto the holes in the endgate with light pressure. Press the emblem/nameplate gently along the length to fix it correctly then check the bond quality before removing tape from the emblem/nameplate and its installed area.
