How to replace the drum brake backing plate on 2006 Chevrolet Equinox?

To change the drum brake backing plate, be it the vehicle raised and supported and the tire, brake drum and brake shoes removed. Unscrew the park brake cable, unscrew the wheel cylinder and hub assembly and the backing plate. Install the new back plate, reconnect parts and reinstall the tire and wheel.
