How to replace the left Motor and Transmission Mount on 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt?

To change the left transmission mount, start by disconnecting negative Battery Cable, then raise the vehicle. Take off the front and rear transmission mount thru bolts, lower the vehicle, and remove under hood electrical center cover. Disconnect the engine control module harness connector (3,4) and the positive battery cables from the under hood electrical center, as well as surge tank inlet hose. Suspend the gas cap installed, remove the under hood electrical center tray bracket nuts (1,2) and bolt, then de-fasten the wiring harness retainer from the tray bracket. Raise the electrical center high and swing it back in order to clear the area. Support the transmission with a hydraulic floor jack using a block of wood and then remove the transmission mount to transmission and the transmission mount to mid-rail bolts. To remove the transmission mount, reduce the transmission just enough. For installation, it begins by installing the transmission mount to the mid-rail, hand starting the bolts to tighten them to 34 nm (25 ft. Lbs.). Pull the transmission up until it hits the mount, then start the transmission and bolts from the rear, middle, and front while making sure that the bolts are tightened to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Displace the electrical center to the under hood & link the wiring harness retainer, and join the electrical center nuts (1,2) and bolts, fixing the nut with an incidence of 10 nm (89 inch lbs.) & the bolt with an incidence of 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). Restore the surge tank inlet hose; install positive battery cables and tighten to 15 nm (11 ft. Lbs.) nut positive cable. Connect the engine control module harness connectors (3,4) and put the under hood electrical center cover. Lift up the vehicle once more and hand tighten the front and rear transmission mount thru bolts and tighten them to 100 nm (74 ft. Lbs.). Finally, join the negative cable to the battery.
