How to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500?

In order to replace the Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor, one should raise the car and remove the engine shield in case it is present. Unplug the connector of CMP sensor, take off the sensor and check whether it is worn or not. Fit the new sensor with the O-ring oiled and reconnect the electrical connector and place the engine shield.
