How to replace the multifunction turn signal switch on 2006 Cadillac SRX?

First disable sir by following zone 3 sir disabling and enabling procedures prior to replacing the multifunction turn signal switch. Access the upper and lower trim covers after tilting the column to its center position. The turn signal and multifunction switch assembly connectors need removal before you secure the assembly with two pan head tapping screws. Remove the assembly which contains the turn signal and multifunction switch. To install the new assembly position its electrical contact onto the turn signal cancel cam assembly before tightening the 2 pan head tapping screws. Tighten the screw on top of the column to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.) and the front screw to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.). Complete the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly reconnection then replace upper and lower trim covers before activating sir system following sir disabling and enabling zone 3 requirements.
