How to replace the instrument panel (I/P) dimmer switch on 2006 Cadillac SRX?

In order to change the dimmer switch of the instrument panel, take off the front overhead console, unscrew the dimmer switch, and disconnect the electrical contact. Installation requires reattaching the electrical connector, screwing in the switch and reattaching the overhead console. Make sure screws are tightened according to Fastener Notice.
