How to replace the steering wheel on 2006 Cadillac SRX?

In order to change the steering wheel, it is necessary to disable the SIR system. Take out the inflatable restraint module and dis-connect the steering column electrical connector. Then take away the retaining nut and pull out the steering wheel with a puller. Install the wheel back, screw the nut, reconnect the electrical connector and also enable the SIR system.
