To turn off the inflatable restraint side impact sensor (SIS), first turn off SIR system. It is advisable not to hit SIS and be sure that it is firmly fixed. Take off the center trim panel of the pillar, disconnect the harness connector and take off the SIS. Wipe the mounting area, reconnect the SIS, reconnect the harness, and reconnect the trim.
