How to Replace an Ambient Temperature Sensor in an HVAC System on 2006 Buick Rendezvous?

To remove the ambient air temperature sensor, one needs to disconnect the electrical connector from the ambient air temperature sensor in the first place. This disconnection would be done first after opening the hood. Use the Door Trim Pad Clip Remover (J 38778) to unplug the wiring harness retainer, which connects the ambient air temperature sensor to the hood latch support, and remove the sensor from the wiring harness retainer and take it out of the vehicle. When installing, attach the ambient air temperature sensor to the wire harness retainer, lock it in using the wire harness push in retainer to the hood latch support and at last reattach the electrical connector to the ambient air temperature sensor.
