How to service and repair the Steering Angle Sensor or Steering Shaft Lower Bearing on 2005 GMC Sierra 1500?

In order to service the Steering Angle Sensor or Steering Shaft Lower Bearing, position the front wheels perpendicular and lock the steering wheel. Disassemble battery, make alignment marks on shafts, and take out required pieces. Install the new sensor making sure it is very well aligned and reconnect all, including battery.
