Care must be taken to service and repair the rack and pinion, raise and support the vehicle, place a drain pan, take off tires and wheels, remove tie-rod nuts, avoid seal damage with a wedge, and use Puller J24319-B. Disconnect lower intermediate shaft, crossmember and power-steering hose; unbolt, and remove the rack. Reassemble parts, fill up system, readjust front toe.
