How to replace the evaporator core on 2005 Chevrolet Impala?

In order to change the evaporator core, take away the HVAC module assembly and detach the required electrical connections. Take out the recirculation housing and mode actuator and remove the evaporator core. Installation requires adding refrigerant oil, new seals and screwing the parts together. Reconnect all the electrical connections and put the HVAC module back together.
