To replace the heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) bank 2 sensor 1, calculate the engine temperature should be higher than 48°c (120°F) to help in the process of removing the oxygen sensors of the engine. A special anti-seize compound is used on the threads of new service sensors; if using a sensor previously, coat the threads of the sensor with anti-seize compound p/n 5613695 or similar. Start by lifting and holding the vehicle up, next disconnect the Oxygen Sensor from its electric connection and remove the forward Oxygen Sensor from the Exhaust Manifold. To install, insert the new Oxygen Sensor into the Exhaust Manifold, tighten it to 41 n.m (30 lb ft), reconnect the Oxygen Sensor hand electronic connector, and subsequently lower the vehicle.
