    A: The j 22610 service boot clamp installer (J 22610) should be used to disconnect the air cleaner assembly along with the air intake duct clamps from the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor and Throttle Body. Treat the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor gently because touching the honeycell end or the sensing elements could cause damage and substance contamination must be avoided. You should place the new sensor into the air intake duct at the air cleaner housing with the embossed arrow facing the engine to show correct airflow direction. Reconnect the air intake duct starting from the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor followed by the Throttle Body before tightening all clamps and establishing a connection to the Mass Air Flow Sensor/iat sensor electrical harness.
