Start the process by removing both the battery ground (negative) cable and bolt from the battery's terminal. After mounting the battery ground (negative) cable and bolt to the battery use a torque wrench to tighten the battery terminal bolt to 16 n.m (12 lb ft). Effective battery terminal maintenance requires removing any existing corrosion found between the battery terminal bolt flange and Battery Cable end. Set the vehicle's radio clock to display the current time while programming each of the customer's preferred radio stations.
