To remove the negative Battery Cable from the negative battery post, start by turning off all the lamps and accessories and with Ignition Switch off. Once the cable is removed, rub off the oxidation previously on the battery post contact face and on the Battery Cable using a wire brush until the oxidation is clear before reconnecting the negative Battery Cable to the negative battery post. Last of all, secure the Battery Cable nut with 6 n.m (53 lb in). The radio has electronic memory for clock and pre-selected radio stations; hence, reprogramming is not required.
