Q: How to replace the rear axle lower control arm on 2005 Buick LeSabre?
A: For removing the rear axle lower Control Arm, take away, first of all the rear suspension support assembly. Next, remove the automatic level control height sensor link from the left Control Arm and from the stabilizer shaft link. Then, remove your wheel bearing/hub, and adjustment link retaining nut and adjustment link on the lower Control Arm. Pint the lower Control Arm mounting bolts and nuts to remove the lower Control Arm. In installation, join the lower Control Arm with the rear suspension support assembly making sure to tighten the nuts on the lower Control Arm while the vehicle is off the ground and resting on the wheels at the standard height of trim. Install the lower controll arm bolts and nuts, and reinstall the wheel bearing/hub. Mount the adjustment link onto the lower Control Arm and fasten it with the adjustment link retaining nut and tighten it to 50 nm (36 ft. Lbs.). Reinstall the wheel bearing/hub and the stabilizer shaft link, then the automatic level control height sensor link on the left Control Arm. Lastly, replace the rear suspension support assembly and lower the vehicle, then the lower control arms retaining nuts to 106 nm (78 ft. Lbs).
