How to replace the intermediate steering shaft on 2004 Chevrolet Venture?

Keep wheels straight and column locked, raise vehicle, reposition shaft seal, remove lower pinch bolt and detach shaft from steering gear. Lower vehicle, remove left knee bolster, access upper pinch bolt, disconnect and remove shaft. For installation, reverse procedure, observing fastener precautions, reinstall seals, pinch bolts and knee bolster.
