How to replace the thermostat on a 3.4L engine on 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

Removal of the air cleaner intake duct and partial depletion of cooling system to replace the thermostat on a 3.4L engine. Install Hose Clamp Pliers and reposition the hose clamp then unscrew the radiator inlet hose, exhaust crossover pipe, and water outlet housing. Assemble the new things, new thermostat, gasket, housing and reassemble the parts.
