How to replace the Wiper Switch on 2004 Cadillac CTS?

Before starting the wiper and washer switch replacement you should turn off the sir system. Detach all trim pieces attached to the steering column and remove its connected wiring harness straps. Unplug the electrical connectors 1 and 3 at both ends of the windshield and washer switch. Press the locking tab on windshield wiper and washer switch to release it from the steering column base. Secure the new windshield wiper and washer switch by attaching it to the steering column then connecting electrical connectors (1, 3). Place the electrical connector from the Wiper Switch into the windshield area and put on the steering column trim covers together with the wiring harness tie straps. Finally, enable the sir system.
