How to replace the Engine Control Module on 2003 GMC Sonoma?

In order to replace the powertrain control module (PCM), unplug negative battery cable when the ignition is off. Take the PCM out of the bracket and lose the electrical connectors. Install replacement PCM, and make sure that the service number is the same. Attach the electrical connectors, attach the retention bar and check the connector gaskets.
