A: The first step to replace the turn signal switch includes disabling the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Lift the trim parts from top and bottom. Place the steering column at its center point. Remove the turning signal assembly from its connections by taking off both the connectors and the two pan head tapping screws. You can disconnect and separate the turn signal and multifunction switch components. Put the electrical contact point of the new assembly onto the turn signal cancel cam assembly. Use both pan head screws to fasten the part onto the column base. Apply 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.) force to the top screw and 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.) pressure to the front screw. Connect the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly to its components while putting back the upper and lower trim covers lastly activate the inflatable restraint steering wheel module.
