How to replace the Air Bag Sensor for the side impact on 2003 Buick Rendezvous?

Disabling SIR system first. Do not hit or jolt the inflatable restraint side impact sensor (SIS), take special care to ensure that it is securely fastened against power application to prevent deployment or injury. Remove the center pillar lower trim and pull out the connector position assurance (CPA) from the side impact sensor that has the yellow 2-way harness connector on the side. Unplug the wireless harness connector from the sensor and remove the 2 fasteners that hold it. Raise the seat belt latch plate and pull the seat belt retractable unit assembly from the belt tunnel. Clean the mounting surface for dirt grease and contaminants before installing the new inflatable restraint side impact sensor to the center pillar. Make sure to tighten the 2 fasteners to a torque 10 N.m)(89 lb in). Reattach the yellow 2-way harness connector to the side impact sensor and replace the CPA onto the connector. Lastly, re-install the center pillar lower trim and turn on the SIR system.
