  • Q: How to replace the throttle body assembly on 2002 Chevrolet Tracker?
    A: To remove the Throttle Body assembly, remove the intake air inlet duct on the Throttle Body first and then follow that with the syntes breather hose. Remove throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector and idle air control (IAC) valve electrical connector . Drain the cooling system and disconnect the lower coolant hose and the upper coolant hose from the Throttle Body. Remove the accelerator control cable by turning throttle lever to wide open throat (WOT) and removing the cable end from the slot. Next, turn the two nuts/two bolts that hold Throttle Body/gasket to Intake Manifold and remove them, also get rid of all the Throttle Body gasket/traces/footprints on the Intake Manifold as well. For installation- insert a new gasket and Throttle Body on the Intake Manifold and tighten to 25 n.m (18 lb ft) with two nuts/two bolts. Connect the accelerator control cable back to the throttle lever and adjust if necessary. Connect back the lower coolant hose and the upper coolant hose to the Throttle Body, iac valve electrical connector and the tp electrical connector. Lastly, connect the breather hose to the Throttle Body and replace the intake air inlet duct.
