How to Properly Install an Alternator Bracket on 2002 Chevrolet S10?

Proceed to replace the generator bracket by disconnection of the negative battery cable followed by removal of the engine cooling fan, drive belt and generator. Removal of engine wiring harness bracket, drive belt tensioner and idler pulley. Unscrew the bolts that hold the generator mounting bracket and install it, and then reattach bits in the reverse order.
