How to replace the rear trunk latch on 2002 Cadillac Seville?

Replacing the rear compartment lid latch only requires opening the rear compartment and taking out the trim panel. Disconnect the interior release handle and lock cylinder latch release cable. Unscrew the electrical connector and take out the latch. To install, screw the new latch in place, reconnect electrical connector and fix the trim panel.
