How to properly service and repair the Vehicle Speed Sensor on 2002 Cadillac DeVille?

Vehicle height needs to be increased before replacing the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS). Start by removing bolts (1, 3) that hold the front transaxle brace to the transaxle and right Cylinder Head. Locate the electrical connector at the Vehicle Speed Sensor before removing the retaining bolt (131) and sensor (130) by twisting the sensor and pulling outward. Tighten the retaining bolt (131) to 10 nm (89 inch lbs.). Install the Vehicle Speed Sensor (130) along with a new o-ring seal. Reconnect the electrical sensor while reinstalling the bolts (1, 3) to the front transaxle brace for attachment with the transaxle and right Cylinder Head and then finish the procedure by lowering the vehicle.
