2002 Buick Rendezvous Engine Mount Parts and Q&A
Q: How to replace the right engine mount strut bracket on 2002 Buick Rendezvous?
A: Starting the right Engine Mount strut bracket replacement requires one to remove the right Engine Mount strut from its bracket while also removing the engine oil cooler coolant line bracket bolt. The vehicle should be raised and supported while a technician removes first the lower radiator baffle followed by the lower Engine Mount strut bracket bolt from the right Engine Mount strut bracket. First lower the vehicle and then remove the bolts from the air conditioning compressor before placing the compressor aside. The right Engine Mount strut bracket requires removal of its vertical Engine Mount strut bracket bolt to release the bracket from service. Start the right Engine Mount strut bracket installation by placing it over the pin locator before raising the vehicle for support. Use the vertical Engine Mount strut bracket bolt to screw into the right Engine Mount strut bracket at the Cylinder Head before tightening it to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Then use the lower Engine Mount strut bracket bolt to secure into the cylinder block by reaching through the right Engine Mount strut bracket while also tightening it to 50 nm (37 ft. Lbs.). Dress the air conditioning compressor along with the lower radiator baffle before lowering the vehicle. You must connect the engine oil cooler coolant line bracket bolt while installing the right Engine Mount strut to its bracket.
