How to properly maintain the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2002 Buick LeSabre?

A proper servicing of the Camshaft Position Sensor follows two initial steps which include removing the coolant recovery reservoir and Drive Belt. The electrical connector should be disconnected from the Camshaft Position Sensor and the cmp sensor retaining screw needs removal. Extract the cmp sensor from the position it holds on the engine front cover. The service procedure requires placing the cmp sensor onto the engine front cover while following the fastener notice in service precautions. Fasten and tighten the Camshaft Position Sensor with its retaining bolt to 10 n.m (89 lb in). The electrical connector must be reattached to the Camshaft Position Sensor followed by installation of the Drive Belt and coolant recovery reservoir.
