How to replace the right engine mount on 2001 GMC Jimmy?

Before starting the right Engine Mount replacement process you should lift the vehicle first then eliminate underbody shields. Detach the through-bolt together with the nut from the specific Engine Mount of the side undergoing replacement. A jack placed on the square tab at the rear engine block will lift the engine while Starter removal may be needed to reach the square tab on the right side. Raising the engine by just enough clearance will let you take out the Engine Mount while you need to remove the Engine Mount frame bracket bolts for complete bracket removal. To proceed take out the Engine Mount both from the engine and the bolts which secure it to the Engine Mount. To install the system you must first sub-assemble the Engine Mount with shield along with one bolt before mounting the assembly onto the engine. First tighten the Engine Mount to engine bolts up to 55 nm (41 ft. Lbs.) then attach the Engine Mount frame bracket to the frame and fasten its bolts to 45 nm (33 ft. Lbs.). Lower the engine and use the jack for removing it before installing the Engine Mount through-bolts and nuts where a torque of 74 nm (55 ft. Lbs.) and 63 nm (46 ft. Lbs.) should be applied. Reinstall the Starter when possible before lowering the vehicle.
