How to replace the EGR valve on 2001 GMC Jimmy?

In order to replace the EGR valve, unplug the negative battery cable and record the orientation of the valve. Take out the harness connector, flange bolts and the gasketed valve. Install new gasket and valve, screw tight the bolts and then reattach the harness and battery cable.
