Wear safety protective goggles and gloves to replace the catalytic converter on a 4.3 L Utility. Lift the car, take off the transmission support and disconnect the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) connectors. Take the catalytic converter out of the muffler and the exhaust manifold and install again, with new gaskets and re-connecting the sensors. Lastly, re-fit the transmission support and lower the vehicle.
