To replace heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) bank 1 sensor 1, lift the vehicle and remove the ho2s electric connector. Be sure to pull out the heated Oxygen Sensor, carefully, taking care because it can be stubborn to come out if the temperature of the engine is lower than 48°c (120°F), reason being undue force could damage the threads on the Exhaust Manifold or ext Exhaust Pipe. For the installation, apply an anti-seize compound to the threads of the heated Oxygen Sensor p/n 5613695 or other brands if required, since this compound which is graphite suspended in fluid, and the glass beads allow for easy removal in the future. Install the heated Oxygen Sensor and tighten it to 41 n.m (30 lb ft) then reconnect the ho2s electrical connector and lower vehicle.
