2001 Chevrolet Camaro Sway Bar Link Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the rear sway bar link on 2001 Chevrolet Camaro?
A: The first step to service or repair the rear sway bar link requires a vehicle elevation to suitable support. First service teams should remove the sway bar link nut, bolt and bushings preceding sway bar link spacer and bushings. Take out both the sway bar link bracket bolts and bracket as well as detach the bracket from the underbody pan if needed. Place the sway bar link bracket properly on top of the underbody pan and fasten it with appropriate bolts. Tighten these bolts to 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). The installation process begins by placing the sway bar link spacer along with bushings followed by the sway bar link bushings and its corresponding bolt and nut. The technician should torque the bolt to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). Finally, lower the vehicle.
