How to replace a muffler on 2001 Cadillac DeVille?

Lift and support the vehicle and remove the muffler. Cut the exhaust pipe at the muffler, remove the rear exhaust hanger nut and remove the muffler. Oil tail pipe hanger rod, remove rear exhaust hanger and install new muffler making sure muffler is aligned prior to tightening clamps.
