Move on to remove the forward edge of the LH IP access opening cover which is secured from behind the hinge pillar. The headlamp switch requires its screws to be removed before slowly pulling it to the outside position for connector disconnect. The installation process begins with plugging in the electrical connection to the headlamp switch next connecting the switch tabs to IP mounting surfaces before fitting the switch correctly into position. Secure the headlamp switch with screws by turning them to 1.8 N.m (16 lb in). The forward section of the LH IP access opening cover should be inserted behind the hinge pillar while the retainers must line up with slots on the IP trim pad before applying firm pressure for installation.
