You must first remove the intermediate shaft from the steering gear before using a utility stand to support the frame rear and unplugging all frame rear bolts. The first step needs frame rear lowering for better access before removing the power steering gear heat shield. A drain pan should be placed below the steering gear and Power Steering Pump while the hose clip is detached from the steering gear before removing the inlet hose from the gear. Install the previous center frame bolts on top of each other while leaving them loose before letting the car descend. First remove the Drive Belt before removing the inlet hose from the pump and its hose retainer. The procedure starts with inlet hose installation followed by connecting it to the pump while tightening the pump fitting to 27 nm (20 ft. Lbs.).
