• Q: How to replace the throttle body assembly on 2000 Chevrolet Tracker?

  A: In order to replace the Throttle Body assembly, remove the intake air inlet duct, and the breather hose from the Throttle Body. Unplug the electrical connectors from the throttle position (TP) sensor and relatedly the idle air control (IAC) valve. Drain the cooling system and remove the lower coolant line and upper coolant line from the Throttle Body. If r necessary disconnect the a/t Throttle Cable, from the Throttle Body throttle lever and then remove the cable end from slot on accelerator and rotate throttle to wide open throttle (WOT). Please unscrew two nuts or two bolts that hold the Throttle Body and gasket to the Intake Manifold, as well as remove any of the remaining gasket material from the Intake Manifold. Installation: install a new gasket and the Throttle Body onto the Intake Manifold attaching it with the 2 new nuts or 2 bolts to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). If required, proceed to connect the a/t Throttle Cable (to throttle lever and the accelerator control cable to the throttle lever) and modify the cables accordingly. Connect the lower coolant hose to the Throttle Body, then the upper coolant hose to the Throttle Body, the iac valve electrical connector , then tp sensor electrical connector . Lastly, reattach the breather hose and attach the intake air inlet duct to the Throttle Body.
